Sponsored Camp Out

4th October 2010

ROB GILL will be spending 100 nights from 13th September 2010 - 21st December 2010 living in a tent in his back garden to raise much needed money to fund his trip to the World Scout Jamboree being held in Sweden during the summer of 2011.

Rob, who is GSL of the 8th Gillingham Group and the District's Network Coordinator, has been selected as one of the Kent Contingent leaders and must find the £850 to pay the Jamboree fee. He will sleep and eat in his tent using a sleeping bag and a camping stove.
Scouting has shown Rob that there are many young people less fortunate than him and he has decided to donate one third of money raised to the charity - CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
You can download a leaflet here, which sets out Rob's challenge in greater detail.
