World Scout Jamboree
The 26th World Scout Jamboree will be held in Poland, on the beautiful island of Wyspa Sobieszewska in Gdańsk, from 30th July to 8th August 2027. The theme for the Jamboree is "Bravely” The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) event, it happens every four years, each time hosted by a different country.
Please ensure that every young person that is eligible gets a chance to attend.
- To attend, young people must be aged 14–17 during the Jamboree.
- They must be born after 30th July 2009 and before 30th July 2013.
- There will be a selection process weekend hopefully in October, along with Medway and Dartford Districts at Buckmore Park. All interested groups will be notified.
The names of young people that are interested should be sent to Roger Isaacs -roger.isaacs@gillinghamscouts.org.uk - along with their dates of birth. Deadline for receiving names is 31st July (to be confirmed)
Gillingham District has been allocated 5 places.
