Gillingham Scouts celebrate
30th April 2011

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders from all Groups in the Gillingham District held a double celebration on Saturday 30th April 2011. They gathered at The Howard School Rainham, to celebrate St George's Day and the Royal Wedding.
By giving the day a royal twist, everyone enjoyed the experience of a street party. The afternoon started with a short St George's Day Service with Renewal of Promises followed by entertainment provided by the hullabaloo roadshow and culminating in a massive street party.
A special badge was produced for the day designed by Louis Harrison a Cub with the 14th Gillingham.
The Mayor of Medway, Councillor David Brake and the Mayoress attended the event .
