Gillingham Scouts celebrate their centenary this year.

The first Scout troop in Gillingham was opened in 1908. During 2008 there are plans for a Centenary Birthday Party for all members past and present, a Centenary Dinner, the publication of a souvenir book and a commemorative badge.

Centenary Badge Competition

Congratulations to Adam Kerry, a cub scout with the 8th Gillingham Group, on winning the Centenary Badge Competition.  He was presented with a certificate and his prize of WHSmith vouchers at the recent St George'e Day Service held at Priestfield Stadium.  Adam is pictured showing off his winner's certificate.

Badges are now being manufactured to distribute to all members at the Centenary Birthday Party to be held in July.

A Centenary Birthday Party is being planned for all current members. The Party will be FREE and will be held at The Howard School, Rainham on Sunday 20th July 2008.
